Organised for 115 years by the SIAE, a subsidiary of the French Aerospace Industries Association (GIFAS), the International Paris Air Show is the largest global gathering for the aerospace industry and a showcase of French industrial excellence. It reflects a structured, innovative and sustainable sector, capable of bringing together start-ups, SMEs, mid-sized companies and major groups around ambitious projects.

This 55th edition promises to be exceptional in many ways: nearly 2,400 exhibitors from 48 countries, 70 hectares of exhibition space, over 300,000 visitors and 300 official delegations are expected. The show offers seven days of total immersion in aeronautical and space innovation: four days reserved for professionals, followed by three open to the general public.

The show has always been a public event as well, aiming to make aerospace accessible to everyone: spectacular flight demonstrations, educational exhibition areas, networking spaces and activities designed to enhance the sector’s appeal.

The International Paris Air Show is more than ever a place and opportunity for dialogue and cooperation

In an international context marked by the recovery of global air traffic, rising demand, climate urgency, increasing regulatory pressure, and geopolitical and trade tensions that reinforce the importance of sovereignty, the International Paris Air Show stands out more than ever as a key and unique platform for dialogue, cooperation and strategic foresight on a global scale.

The International Paris Air Show is not just a date on the calendar: it is the beating heart of the global aerospace industry, where the future of aviation and space is shaped. This 55th edition once again places France at the core of global technological progress,” declares Guillaume Faury, Chairman of GIFAS.

New highlights to accompany the transformation of the sector

Major innovation for 2025: the International Paris Air Show reaches a new milestone with the launch of the Paris Space Hub, a 2,500 m² hall entirely dedicated to the space ecosystem. Designed to showcase the French and European space industries, it embodies technological and industrial excellence, committed to a sustainable and forward-looking space sector, in a context of accelerating innovation and intensifying global competition. An agora space will host a programme of conferences and debates featuring researchers, policymakers, entrepreneurs and astronauts, discussing the major challenges of today’s and tomorrow’s space sector. With this addition, the International Paris Air Show reaffirms its mission to embody the future of aerospace.

The Paris Air Lab returns for its fourth edition, offering an even more immersive, educational and interactive experience. It highlights how innovation, research and emerging technologies (AI, virtual reality, cybersecurity, etc.) support the industry’s ecological transition towards more sustainable air transport. It showcases a mobilised ecosystem addressing the challenges of decarbonisation, technological sovereignty and industrial transformation.

The new initiative “Women in Aero and Space”, led by SIAE and GIFAS, aims to celebrate women in the sector and promote female careers throughout the week, with tailored programmes for various audiences: professionals, schoolgirls, students, job-seeking women, families and educators. 20 June will feature a key moment with events, discussions and testimonials to inspire new vocations. Around 100 companies are involved.

The Show continues its strong commitment to promoting talent and attractiveness, notably through:

L’Avion des Métiers is coming back for its 6th edition with 3,000 m² dedicated to young people, with demonstrations, simulators, and professionals and schools present to spark new passions.

• The “L’Aéro Recrute” initiative, bringing together 150 companies offering job opportunities, along with a new flagship location: La Terrasse de l’Aéro, a space for guidance, inspiration and coaching.

For the first time, the 2025 edition will offer visitors a curated editorial experience, structured around the major issues shaping the sector’s future. The show strengthens its focus on key topics: breakthrough technological innovations, sustainable air mobility, defence, drones, space, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and quantum technologies.

We are witnessing exceptional momentum. In a world filled with uncertainties and tensions, the Show offers a true opportunity: for one week, it will be a unique platform to exchange, innovate, and together shape the future trajectories of aviation and space,” says Guillaume Bourdeloux, Managing Director of the International Paris Air Show.

Discussions on decarbonising the sector, new models of air defence, and the future of European space will take place at Le Bourget. More than just a leading event, the Show is the place where the future of aerospace is both imagined and invented,” adds Emmanuel Vieillard, Commissioner General of the International Paris Air Show.

A committed industry

On this occasion, GIFAS highlights an industry actively engaged in transforming its models:

• Committed to decarbonisation, with clear targets for 2050, massive investments in research and technology via CORAC, and breakthrough innovations driven by its members;

• Committed to defence, which accounted for 25% of its 2024 revenue, owing to the dual-use nature of its activities and a 13% growth in the defence market in 2024;

• Committed to the transformation of its space sector, a centre of excellence spanning the entire value chain and the world’s leading satellite exporter;

• Committed to recruitment and upskilling to support production ramp-up: 29,000 hires in 2024, 12,000 net job creations, and a 30% workforce renewal in two years.

This 55th edition of the Show is a strategic milestone. For the French industry, it is an opportunity to showcase its strength, know-how, and innovative capabilities. It is also a time to stake our claim as the global leader in aerospace,” says Frédéric Parisot, Managing Director of GIFAS.
