Paris, 27 July 2026 – The French Aerospace Industries Association (GIFAS) is launching GIFAS Cyber Boost, an operational programme designed to help SMEs and mid-sized companies across the aerospace and defence supply chain improve their cyber maturity.

According to Olivier Andriès, President of GIFAS and CEO of Safran: “Improving the cybersecurity maturity of our industrial value chain is an absolute priority.”

Supported by growth in air traffic, robust export sales and the ongoing industrial ramp-up, the French aerospace industry once again demonstrated its resilience and strategic role in 2025.

On the occasion of the 2026 Singapore Airshow, GIFAS strengthens its footprint in Southeast Asia with the opening of a regional office in Singapore, a key aerospace and space hub.

Paris, January 8th, 2026 – At its New Year press address, marking the first speech by its new President, Olivier Andriès, the French Aerospace Industries Association GIFAS underlined the strategic importance of the French aerospace industry as a pillar of the nation’s industrial and technological sovereignty.

The Chief Executives of ADS and GIFAS, representing the aerospace, defence, security and space industries in France and the United Kingdom respectively, warmly welcome the accession of the United Kingdom to the Agreement on Defence Export Controls, alongside France, Germany and Spain as previously advocated in a joint ADS-GIFAS policy paper.

GIFAS welcomes the strong momentum given to the European space sector, backed by more than €22 billion in funding for the European Space Agency (ESA). France’s contribution, increased to €3.7 billion, will help meet the country’s strategic objectives. This commitment will also help to drive and sustain the competitiveness of France’s industrial ecosystem.

The 55th edition of the International Paris Air Show, held from June 16 to 22, 2025, once again demonstrated its unique ability to bring together the global aerospace industry and foster exchanges between manufacturers, institutions, and international partners. Space took center stage in a brand-new setting, the Paris Space Hub, visited by the President of the French Republic on June 20. The event also contributed to showcasing the excellence of the French aerospace sector, both to French citizens and on the international stage.

At the Paris Air Show, representatives from the French, UK, and German aerospace industries—collaborating under the Aero Excellence International initiative—celebrated the program's progress by awarding recognition to several participating companies. This milestone underscores the industry's commitment to strengthening supply chain resilience, operational excellence, and global competitiveness in the face of unprecedented challenges.

On the occasion of the 55th Paris Air Show, the GIFAS, the Bureau of Aeronautics and Space Standardization (BNAE), together with specialized insurers and brokers, announced the update of the “Reference Guide on Aeronautical and Space Civil Liability.”

The French aerospace sector brings together all the businesses in the region involved in the design, production and maintenance of aerospace equipment, whether it be airplanes, helicopters, drones, airships, satellites, space launchers, large systems and equipment, sub‑assemblies or associated software, both for civilian and military use.

British, German and French aerospace trade associations have signed the creation of Aero Excellence International association to improve operational excellence, sustainability and cybersecurity within the aerospace, defence and space supply chain.

The French aerospace industry, represented by the French aerospace industries association GIFAS, warns of the potential risks of the French Draft Finance Bill 2025 (“DFB25”) and asserts its full support for the air transport sector.
